Dear FOLKS -

We received this important message from Cathy Hasslinger, Clerk Treasurer/Business Mgr Town of Dunn that we need to pass on to you. The last two weeks multiple cars have been broken into. Also, four cars were broken into on Colladay Point on Saturday, two of which were in garages.

Please be aware.

Subject: Recent Vehicle Break In Information

Good Afternoon,

I want to share information with you that might be good to distribute to your constituents, community groups and fellow community leaders.

  • Over the weekend (Friday evening to Saturday morning), our Sam 2 deputy took several reports of vehicles that were broken into.
  • There is video of two individuals we believe are responsible.
  • This took place in the Town of Dunn area around Schneider Dr. and Quam Dr.
  • If any community members notice their vehicles damaged, rummaged through or broken into, please have them contact Deputy S. Koratko at Koratko.Shannon@danesheriff.com.  A review of video cameras and Ring Doorbell cameras is always helpful to our investigations.
  • The investigation is still active and ongoing.

Community Reminder:

As the weather is warming, this is a great opportunity for elected officials to start weekly reminders on locking vehicles, doors and windows to decrease the likelihood of theft or burglary.

Resources:

Here is a link to a video that recommends a daily 9pm routine for all community members before going to bed:
