Dog Licenses

WI State Statutes 174.05 & 95.21 require that all dogs over the age of 5 months be licensed and vaccinated.

All licenses expire on December 31, and must be renewed by March 31 of the following year.

After March 31, a late fee of $10.00 per tag will be assessed for each tag in addition to the regular fee.

All dog license applications must include current proof of vaccination.

Residents can click on the link below to print out an application, or request that a copy be mailed or emailed to them.

*Please note that we do not issue dog licenses after August 30th; therefore, you will need to apply for an exemption letter if you have not obtained a dog license by August 30th. To obtain an exemption letter, mail a copy of your proof of vaccination and a note requesting an exemption or stop in during office hours with a vaccination certificate.

DOG LICENSE APPLICATION
To obtain a license, mail in all of the following items to: Town Hall, 2354 County Rd N, Stoughton WI 53589. (Alternatively, you may drop off these items at the town hall office).

1. Current Vaccination certificate for each dog.

2. Exact check made payable to "Town of Pleasant Springs" or exact cash. It is not recommended to mail cash. Current license costs can be found on the permit application.

3. Completed Dog License Application.

4. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with adequate postage, so we may mail your license and vaccination certificate back to you.

Fireworks User Permit

The use of fireworks is prohibited in the Town Of Pleasant Springs without a permit.

Operator's Licenses

Operator's Licenses must be obtained for an individual to sell fermented malt beverages and intoxicating liquors at any of the local establishments within the Town of Pleasant Springs.

The Operator's License application is available via the link below, or you may stop in to pick up an application. Please note that the application must be signed in the presence of a notary (both office staff members are notaries) and you must submit the $30.00 fee at the time of application.

OPERATOR'S LICENSE APPLICATION

If you have not previously held an Operator's License or it has been more than two years since yours expired, you must also complete the WI Beverage Server Training Course and submit a copy of the completion certificate.

Short Term Rentals

The Town of Pleasant Springs has an ordinance regulating Short Term rentals, including what is known as Air BnB's.

Easements - Revocable Licenses


The Town of Pleasant Springs may grant a revocable license for use of a Town held easement under certain conditions and has sole authority to determine eligibility.
